Wilfried Nancy insisted he did not fear the sack, maintaining, “We are really close to things turning around,” even after moving dangerously close to the chopping block with a convincing setback against the Ibrox side.

A Second-Half Collapse Sees Derby Defeat

“The standard we had at times was exceptionally high. That happened. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was different. But that’s why, in terms of results, I noted this is the same story. For that reason I said that a change is coming to things turning around. Right now: small things.”

“We produced many, many good things that we did, like today again. However comes down to performing for 90 minutes. My message would be different if it was not the case. This is why I am convinced the team can to turn things around.”

The Rangers Boss Outlook

Danny Röhl played down talk of a championship push in spite of what seemed like a statement victory. “We take it game by game, and we can really build up something here,” he said. “The belief in the group is outstanding.”
